The Fiscal Responsibility Act debt-ceiling deal recently passed by Congress & signed by the president formally ended the student loan repayment pause. Interest will resume accruing on student loans on September 1, 2023, & payments will resume in October.

When in October will depend on your loan servicer. You will receive your billing statement and due date at least 21 days before your payment is due. You can get an estimate of your payment through your loan servicer by logging into your profile at https://studentaid.gov/.

Start preparing for repayment. Log on to your account at https://studentaid.gov/ & make sure all your contact info is updated. Consider applying for an income-driven repayment (IDR) plan if appropriate. Note that if your income is very high, these plans could increase your monthly payments, so ensure you do the research first.
